HPE delivers the most comprehensive persistent memory software and hardware ecosystem in the market designed to work with today’s application and data intensive workloads. Our portfolio consists of HPE NVDIMMs and the terabyte capacity integrated storage solution, HPE Scalable Persistent Memory. Below are software downloads for operating systems we currently support. Check back periodically for updates on supported systems.

ROM binary

System ROM for HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen9 and DL380 Gen9 Server

Operating System(s): Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, Microsoft Windows Server 2016, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP2

This Single Point System ROM release adds support for the HPE 8GB NVDIMM Module. Standard production releases of the System ROM for the HPE ProLiant DL360/DL380 Gen 9 will not support the HPE 8GB NVDIMM Module. Only System ROM releases designated as supporting the HPE 8GB NVDIMM Module should be used with HPE ProLiant DL360/DL380 Gen 9 servers containing NVDIMMs.

Online ROM Flash component for Windows x64

To update firmware from Windows operating system on target server:
1. Download the Windows BIOS component cp046149.exe from here.

2. Place the Component in a temporary directory.
3. From the same directory, run the Component by double-clicking it.
4. When the Component dialog window displays, click the Install button to initiate the firmware upgrade.
5. Reboot your system if you would like the update to take effect immediately.

Online ROM Flash Component for Linux

IMPORTANT: This component will fail if it is unable to communicate with iLO. This can occur if HPE ProLiant Agentless Management Service (AMS) and HPE SNMP Agents (SNMP Agents) are both running. HPE does not recommend running AMS and the SNMP Agents at the same time. If an "iLO device not found" error occurs, stop AMS or the SNMP Agents, and run the flash component again.

To update firmware from Linux operating system on target server:
Download the RPM package from here.

Install the RPM package
> rpm -Uvh .rpm

See where the files land
> rpm -qlp .rpm

Change to the directory you see in the previous step and run hpsetup by typing ‘./hpsetup’ at the command prompt
